INAUGURATION
The Annual sports meet (2016-17) of Expert PU college , Kodialbail, Mangaluru was held on 30th of November at Mangala stadium.
The Chief guest of the day Mr. Mukund Kamath, Managing Director of Ideal Ice cream, Mangaluru declared the sports meet open in an innovative way by releasing the balloons.
In his speech, the chief guest emphasized on the need for making sports a part and parcel of every student’s life. He further said that sports & games form the key to success as it keeps the mind and body fresh. It makes one disciplined, confident and ready to face challenges. He wished that the students of Expert earn more laurels in sports both in state level and national level.
The sports secretary of the college, Mr. Abhishek Aralikatti asked the students to pledge, to play a fair game in true sportsman spirit. The ground was set with enthusiastic students who were ready for the march past. Various sports events were conducted there after.
Prof. Narendra L Nayak, Chairman of Expert Group of Institutions, Mrs. Usha Prabha N Nayak, Vice chair person of Expert Group of Institutions, Ankush N Nayak, the alumnus of the Institution, Mr. Ramachandra Bhat, the Principal of the college, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Academic Advisor of the college, Yoga Guru Yogaratna Sri Gopalkrishna Delampady, college sports convener Mr. Pramod Kini and others made their gracious presence for the inaugural function.

Validectory Session
The guest of honour for the valedictory function was Rajyotsava sports awardee Mr. Purandara P .J. The winners were honoured by Mr Purandar. The overall women’s championship was bagged by Vrushali of I PUC III batch, overall men’s championship was bagged by Abdul Khader Aman of II PUC B batch. The best march past award was bagged by II PUC E Batch. The overall championship was bagged by I PUC III batch. The students were felicitated with gold, silver,& bronze medals.
Vice Chairperson of the Institution Madam Usha Prabha N Nayak addressed the gathering and said that competition is part of everyone’s life. Never fail to make attempts in life whether you win or lose. It is important to complete your goal. The time management is important but make sure you reach your destination. Hard work is the key to success. With the true sportsmanship, team spirit one can win over any obstacles in life.
The Principal of Expert PU College, Kodialbail Mr. Ramachandra Bhat, was present for the valedictory . The college sports convener Mr. Pramod Kini delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Niha Abdul Rahman SheiK compered the programme.
