Dr. Ushaprabha N. Nayak, is a MBA graduate with a multifaceted personality. She is the Secretary and Correspondent of EXPERT Pre-University Science College, Mangaluru, and also a very popular mathematics teacher, much liked by students. She takes an active interest in the activities of the institute, and it is her ideas that constantly inspire and motivate the faculty and students of EXPERT to strive towards perfection in every aspect.

Mrs. Nayak is not only a popular teacher, but also a popular TV anchor of coastal Karnataka. She has hosted several shows on health and education, and also quiz shows.

She has hosted several shows on health and education, and also quiz shows. “Hello Usha” was one of the most acclaimed TV programmes of her career, produced by her own home production company Ushaprabha Productions. Some of the programmes featured mentally and physically challenged children and old-age homes. The social awareness created by these programmes was appreciated by the society at large.

As the trustee of Sangeet Bharathi Foundation,  Mangaluru, she has compiled several music programmes and actively participated in organizing them. She has interviewed several legendry artistes like UstadAmjad Ali Khan, Hariharan, Ustad Rafique Khan, Pravin Godkhindi, Sangeeta Katti, to name a few.

This busy schedule of hers did not deter her from academic achievement. She decided to join MBA as a full-time student, 18 years after her B.Sc. Graduation. To everyone’s surprise she completed MBA with overall 4th Rank in Mangaluru University, stood First in her specialization Marketing and bagged Gold medal.

She is also actively involved in research in the field of education and has presented her research papers in international and national conferences. Her research won the Best Paper Award at the National Conference on Integrating Technology in Higher Education in 2013.
