“Don’t ask what the country has given you but ask what you have given to the country”, said Ms. Rekha shetty, Advocate, the chief guest for the Independence Day programme held at Expert PU College, on August 15, 2016, at Bhagavati temple premises, Kodialbail, Mangalore.
The programme was presided by Prof. Narendra L Nayak, Chairman, Expert Group of Institutions. The dignitaries were Ms Ushaprabha N Nayak, Secretary and Correspondent, Expert Group of Institutions, Prof. Ramchandra Bhat, Principal, Expert P U College, kodialbail, Ustad Rafique Khan, Trustee, Expert Group of Institutions, Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady, and Mr. Ankush N Nayak, Alumnus, Expert P U College, kodialbail.
The national flag was hoisted by the chief guest and the cultural programme followed.
In her address, the chief guest Ms Rekha shetty said independence has its meaning only when a woman can walk even at mid night without fear. She concluded saying that students will achieve independence when they achieve their dreams.
Ms Ushaprabha N Nayak, Secretary and Correspondent, administered the oath to the newly elected members of the student council.
Various competitions were held in connection with the Independence day and the prizes were given away on this occasion.
