The student should have passed the Karnataka School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination or an equivalent examination recognized by the Dept. of Pre University Education, Karnataka for the purpose of admission to the Pre-University Course.

Candidates coming from outside the country shall be admitted to the course only on the production of a Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by the Dept. of Pre University Education, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The students, who have completed their 10th standard or equivalent examination outside India, have to obtain Eligibility certificate from the P.U. Board, Bengaluru, on producing the following certificates:

1. Copy of the 10th /equivalent Examination provisional or original marks card.
2. Pass certificate issued by the school last studied.
3. Copy of the Transfer certificate attested by Indian Embassy.
4. Copy of the Migration Certificate.
5. Copy of the passport – 1st page, visa page and last page.
6. Duly filled Application form.
7. Fees as applicable.

However, candidates from states outside Karnataka are governed by the conditions specified in G.O.No. ED/45/SHH – 95 dated 25-05-95.
